Not a Picture- A Poem

Prepare Me

The time is getting closer.
The Lord is preparing me...
For something big, just out of my sight.
So I'll have to wait and see.
My heart is lost in this battle from within.
I don't know which way to turn.
Why must I feel so passive and tame?
What is the lesson to learn?
Am I being prepared to handle a loss?
Is the load going to be heavy to bare?
Is acceptance going to be hard to let in?
If so Lord...then help me prepare!
Prepare me with strength and courage as well.
Help me understand your ways.
Prepare me with faith and trust in Your love.
And guide me through all of my days.
Prepare me, oh Lord, so in turn I can help
Others accept and feel love.
And bless me with patience as I journey through life...
Till we all meet again up above.

Tribute to Joe

I love that Joe is sooooo awesome!
He can find beauty anywhere!
I mean, our boring house at sunset....with Christmas lights on still?!
But sure enough....BEAUTY!

I took them down today, by the way...
so no one can make fun of me having my light up still....GOT IT!

not counting the pictures anymore

It's been 2 days since I have taken a picture...there has been nothing inspiring.
But today...I had Emily.
She pulled her own tooth out (it was way ready) at 1:30...happy as a clam!
3:00...she had a raging fever...not so happy.
But, she's be happy again when she sees her $$$ from the tooth fairy in the morning!

He has a great eye for the abstract!

#21 - Basketball

I love the way this shot moves... it sweeps up, like we are all there helping the ball go in!
My kid is in the middle somewhere, you can't see her. Still, the shot is fun!

#20 - Pretty headband

My little sister taught me how to make these flowers, and I created, yes....I know, AMAZING!
I actually created this lovely headband today. I really like it, and so do my kiddo's.

#18- Bath Time

What a little mermaid girl!
She loves to "swim" in the bath, just so she can feel her hair swish in the water!
I had to get a picture!

#17- Projects

So, I decided... I should probably finish my January project, before January is over.
I decorate my house in Winter snowmen, icicles, and snowflakes.
Next week I will probably take them all down to put up the Valentine's Decor.
Hence, I needed to get this finished. It was fun, and very glittery...
Just my type of swag!

Reading time is my favorite time... and now that Lilli and Maggie are old enough to be the readers... I get to enjoy watching them , listening to them , and admiring their beauty!

#14 - I love to See the Temple

We went to the Temple today...
I took 2 quick snap shots, literally.
They turned out pretty good for a quicky!

Thank you to my sweet husband for taking me!
It has been a while since the last time...
but you better believe it wont be a while until the NEXT time.
We are so blessed to have a temple just down the road!
I can't wait until Emily has school on Friday again....

#12 - Cleaning Frenzy

So the mouse thing has really gotten me into a Cleaning Frenzy.
Today was the refrigerator. It has been a while. It was REALLY gross!

Can some one please tell me why I have 2 bottles of ketchup in here?
SHEESH!

Finally, after about 2 1/2 hours of cleaning....success!
Now for the Freezer!

Here's the cat.....

6 inches long from nose to tip of tail!
Shadow made no attempt at catching it, so I had to bring in the traps!

# 9 - What a Beauty!

This is my niece, Jules! I love her! She is sooooo pretty.
I took this shot today at my mother's house during the birthday celebration for my father!
My sister says that this 365 thing means I post a new picture every day... meaning I actually take the picture the day I post it..... so, here ya go Linds. I will try to follow your rules.
Hopefully I can.
But... there might be days were I cheat, just a little!

# 8 - Peek-a-boo

The other night as Joe was having a little computer time, I noticed something very funny!
Can you see her?
Katie's baby, which she named Loralei.... was watching Joe play.
He didn't notice her until I mentioned how creepy it was....
she looks like she is having a GREAT time....don't ya think?

I don't know which one of my daughters placed the baby there, or how she got right in the exact right position to look like she was watching the computer, but... it was silly!

365 Days of pictures!

So, my friend Kristin got challenged to post a picture everyday for a year.
It thought that would be fun and cool, and right up my alley...
so, even though I was not directly challenged, I am going to pretend I was!
Here is my 1st picture's of the year....let's all pretend I got this awesome idea before 2011, so... this picture is actually my 7th picture....wink wink!!!!

My little sister gave these awesome Tinkerbell shoes to Katie yesterday.
On the way home from Lindsay's house, Katie asks me if we have a Tinkerbell dress.
I reply, "Yes, Katie.... we have Tinkerbell dress. It is in the dress-ups.
"Really, Mommy!!!! I didn't know that!"
I don't think that girl has ever worn this Tinkerbell dress.... but now that she has the shoes... it's a whole other story!

She played in this outfit for hours...
She kept looking in the mirror...she knew she looked good!

Sometimes, the outfit really is "all about the shoes"!
